Rex Allsup of Lubbock, formerly of Knox City, departed this life on July 9, 2008 at the age of 55 years. He was born on January 31, 1953 to Walter Dewitt and Betty Bratton Allsup in Mangum, Okla. Rex attended Dimmitt High School and graduated in 1971. He was a member of Gillespie Baptist Church in Knox City. Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Jeremy Allsup of Conroe; two grandchildren, Lena and Chance Allsup; and one brother, Eddie Allsup. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one grandson, Jeremy Allsup, Jr.; and one brother, Gene Allsup. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Gillespie Baptist Church in Knox City. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
