Cecil Ray Cope, 76, of Arlington went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, Dec. 16, 2011. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at First Baptist Church, 209 North San Marcos, in Whitney. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given in Cecil's name to Alzheimer's Association , 2630 West Freeland, Ste. 100, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Cecil was born Dec. 21, 1934, in Iraan. He retired from General Motors after 32 years. He taught adult Sunday school class at Retta Baptist Church and had his own landscaping and tree trimming business for a number of years. Survivors: Cecil is survived by Peggy, his wife of 56 years; daughters, Barbara Kowal and husband, Walter, Susan Harbers and husband, Ray; son, Jerry and wife, Brandi; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
