Aug. 26, 1909 - Oct. 7, 2003

Albert Wall, 94, passed away on October 7, 2003 in San Jose, California.

Born in Henderson, Nebraska, he moved to California in the late 20's. He attended the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and married Margery Williams in 1937. Albert and Margery worked with American Sunday School Union in both San Francisco and Mountain Gate, California.

He became the pastor of the Bethel Community Church in Port Orchard, Washington in 1945. After years in that service, the family moved to San Jose, where he and Margery founded Missions to the Deaf. As representatives of that organization they fulfilled a life-long dream to minister in Africa, traveling there three times to work with the Kenyan and Nigerian governments to set up schools for the deaf.

Dr. Wall is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margery E. L. Wall. He is also survived by his daughters, Edith-Helen & Rod Hilts of Seldovia, Alaska, Ruth Wall of Fergus, Ontario, Canada, & Rebecca & Charles King of Crescent City, California and his son Ed & Darlene Wall of San Jose, California. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ray & Mathilda Wall, and 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Priscilla Anne, and his brothers, Jacob and Rueben.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Church on the Hill in San Jose, CA. Memorial gifts may be given to the Mission Fund at the Church on the Hill, 500 Sands Drive, San Jose, CA. Funeral arrangements by DARLING & FISCHER CHAPEL OF THE HILLS in Los Gatos, CA.
