A. C. Russell, Jr. was born to A. C. Russell, Sr. and Alice Jones on July 25, 1934 in Baxley. He departed this life on November 20, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 79.

Mr. Russell graduated from Baxley High School in 1954. He entered the U. S. Air Force on February 2, 1954 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1957. He and Jo Ann Mangus were united in Marriage on October 9, 1957 in Norman, Oklahoma. They moved to Noble, Oklahoma in 1967 where Mr. Russell resided until his death. He was self-employed with Russell's Heat and Air in Noble before his retirement.

Mr. Russell was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He enjoyed bird watching and fixing things around the house. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jeffery Russell, a brother and four sisters. Those who survive him include his wife, Jo Ann, of the home; two sons, Charles Russell and wife, Christy, of Mustang, Oklahoma and Gregory Russell of Lexington, Oklahoma; two daughters, Theresa Butler and husband, Gerald, of Norman, Oklahoma, and Lisa Ocasio and husband, Ismael, of Spencer, Oklahoma; two sisters, Carolyn Russell Everhart and husband, Larry Everhart, of Paola, Kansas, and Leotice Russell Pearce of Baxley; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Russell was laid to rest at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Noble, Oklahoma with Military Honors.
