Christoffel Ozga, Nancy L.

Nancy L. Christoffel Ozga, age 70, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Nancy was born on April 6, 1943 in Manitowoc to the late William and Jeanette Schaefer Pierson. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1961. Later in life, Nancy completed her education at UW Milwaukee where she received her bachelor's degree in business with honors. On November 16, 1963, Nancy married Donald J. Christoffel at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Don preceded her in death on June 25, 1984. OnCh July 26, 1986, Nancy married Allan P. Ozga at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Allan preceded her in death on February 12, 1996. Nancy had worked as an administrative assistant at several businesses until she retired from Mirro Corporation. Nancy enjoyed being active in her community through local philanthropy and regularly attending events at the Capital Civic Center. Nancy also enjoyed participating in her book club, vacationing, trips to the family cabin, and above all, she cherished the time and laughs she had with all her family and friends.

Survivors include Nancy's son: Scott (Allie) Christoffel, Manitowoc; three step-children: Dave (Mary Lynn) Ozga and Tony (Julie) Ozga, both of Illinois; and Cindy Ozga, Florida; two step-grandchildren: Michael and Jacob; sister: Mary (Chuck) Cucullu, Osceola; brother: Robert Pierson, Tucson, AZ; also other relatives and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, William Pierson, in 1979.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, 521 North 8th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Roald Harswick will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The visitation will continue at First Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
