Mrs. Mary Caroline Satcher of Quitman Route One passed away at Watkins Memorial Hospital Jan. 28 at 12:05 a.m., at the age of 69.
Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at 2:30 p.m., at Bethel Holiness church in Quitman with the Revs. O. F. Grisham, Johnny Mosley, L. T. Hendrick and J. C. Hollingsworth officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Pisgah cemetery.
Deceased is survived by her husband, V. A. Satcher; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney Alexander, and Mrs. W. A. Rutledge both of Meridian, Route One; two sons, Alvin G. Hayes, Meridian; Rev. W. W. Hayes, Beaumont, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Tom Robinson, and Mrs. Lizzie Pogue, Meridian; Mrs. Jennie Carney and Mrs. Will Wright, Quitman; Mrs. George Slay, Prichard, Ala.; two brothers, Barney Scarbrough, and Henry Scarbrough, Meridian; two step-sons, Arthur Satcher, Quitman; John Anzie Satcher, Meridian; two step-daughters, Mrs. Inez Pogue, Meridian; Mrs. Vera Herrington, Quitman; 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bobby Alexander, Roy Alexander, Jerry Martin, Roger Hayes, Marvin Carney and Buddy Slay.
