SARAH ANN, W.Va. — Shirley Jean Hatfield, 74, of Sarah Ann, departed this life Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born February 25, 1936, at Boonville, Ind., she was a daughter of the late John S. and Mary Richardson Wongler. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Henry D. Hatfield.
Shirley was the owner and operator of Hatfield Monuments and attented the St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Survivors include one brother, Lou Wongler of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, February 4, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Charter officiating. Burial will be in Hatfield Cemetery at Sarah Ann.
There will be no visitation. It was Jean's wishes to be cremated.
