(Elder) Abraham "Abram" Peck Osmun was born in Morris County, New Jersey, May 25, 1804. He was employed as a carman in New York City and was for many years a valued member of the Allen Street Presbyterian Church and Superintendent of a Mission Sabbath School.

After the death of his first wife, Ruth Dodd (Condit) Osmun, February 19, 1864, he moved to Orange, New Jersey, where he married, October 17, 1867, Melinda C. Parsons.

He was an elder of the Second Presbyterian [Brick Church] in Orange, New Jersey and also of the First Reformed Church in the same place, at its organization in 1875. He died in Essex County, New Jersey, July 21, 1878. Any record of who is buried in Lot 864, graves 1, 2 & 3, has been lost or misplaced by the cemetery office.
