Mrs Leah H Rathert, 71, of 833 Florence Ave, died at 6 pm yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. She retired six years ago as a saleswoman for the GC Murphy Co. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Fred F; three daughters, Mrs Arthur Hartman, Mrs Ellen Dodane, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs S Bryon Heaston, Columbia City; a son, William A, Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 pm Saturday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev Theodore Taykowski officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm Thursday or after noon Saturday at the church.
