Mary H. (Brennan) Abdelnour, age 82, of Continental Avenue in Cohoes, passed away on Saturday, August 24th 2013 at the Peter's Hospital Hospice in Albany, N.Y.
She was born on March 4th 1931 in Cohoes, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Esther M. (Kinney) Brennan.
She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy, N.Y.
She is the widow of the late Albert E. Abdelnour Sr.
Mary had been employed at the Paper Cutter in Albany, N.Y. for 10 years and retired 20 years ago.
She had been employed for many years as an Executive Secretary at Cohoes Consolidated Catholic Schools.
She was a member of the Cohoes Columbietes.
She enjoyed playing games on her iPad and in earlier years she and her husband enjoyed playing pinochle with friends.
She is the mother of Lynn Abdelnour, CSJ of Utica, Gerard Abdelnour (Diane), Judith Abdelnour Frank of Cohoes, Albert Abdelnour Jr. (Brenda) of Castleton, VT, Lori Abdelnour of Cohoes and the late John Abdelnour. She is grandmother of Kristin, Jeffrey (Allison), Nicholas and Lauren Abdelnour, Richard Frank III and Aimee Frank. She is across the street grandmother to Brandon Russ (Tracy), Natalie Russ (Helen) and Chandra Russ-Vanfricken (Derrick). She is the sister in law of Grace Brennan of Latham, Ethel Abdelnour of Albany, Ruth Harrison of Vancouver BC and Vicky Polnak of Waterford and sister of Jean Moran (Robert) of Ft. Myers, FL, Helen McBride of Steward, FL, Carol Dooley (Thomas) of Saratoga, Barbara Guzy (John) of Cohoes, the late Esther Cundiff and James Brennan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Duell Road in Schuylerville, N.Y.
