Frank Daniel Kechley was the youngest son of John Michael and Barbara Kornman Kechley born in Seneca County, Ohio. In 1871 his parents moved to Blue Springs, Gage County, Nebraska on a farm where he grew to manhood. On March 24, 1892 he was united in marriage to Katherine Rupprecht in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska. To this union three children were born. Mr. Kechley lived in Gage County for 48 years and was known as one of Gage County's best farmers. He enjoyed traveling and he and his wife, Katherine took a trip to Germany to visit relatives and friends; also going to London and various cities sight seeing. He has traveled several large cities in the United States and was on his second trip to California when he passed away at the age of almost 53 years of age. Mrs. Kechley brought his body back to Beatrice, Nebraska accompanied by his brother, Conrad Kechley. Services wee held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Damrow, south of Beatrice, Nebraska and at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Burial was in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Gage County, Nebraska.
