Lisabetta Russo Ackley, age 90, of Newtown and formerly a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died unexpectedly on Thursday November 20, 2003 in Danbury Hospital.

Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Jennie Iovino Russo and was formerly a seamstress at Warner Brothers. Mrs. Ackley was a former member of the Moose Club and an enthusiastic wrestling fan.

Survivors include her devoted sons, Anthony Dellaquilla and his wife Jerry of Newtown and Joseph Dellaquilla Jr. and his wife Jean of Monroe; her beloved grandchildren, Karen and Paul Rizzo, Joseph Dellaquilla III, Anthony Dellaquilla Jr., Michael and Dawn Dellaquilla and Elisabeth Ferrar; cherished great-grandchildren, Kristen and Michelle Rizzo, Jeana Dellaquilla, David Chapman and Carl and Alex Dellaquilla; and a brother, Angelo Russo of Monroe.

Mrs. Ackley was predeceased by her loving husband, Franklyn E. Ackley Sr. and three brothers, Joseph, Salvatore and Anthony Russo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 12:00 p.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Chapel Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may visit on Friday November 21, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
