Jason Neill Abbott, age 33, of Sherwood, AR (formerly of Kansas City, MO), died Thursday, March 27, 2003. Jason served people as a Nationally Registered EMT and was active in the Little Rock Rugby Club. He was attached to the 4th Marine Division, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marines and had just been called to active duty to serve his country in operation Iraqi Freedom.
Jason is survived by his mother, Catherine Riffle of Lee's Summit, MO; father, Vernon Abbott of North Little Rock, AR; fiancee' Suzanne Woodward of Sherwood, AR; grandparents, Bill and Betty Stone of Blue Springs, MO; greatgrandmother, Orpah Baldwin of Independence, MO; two daughters, Catherine and Catelynn of North Little Rock; two sisters, Jennifer Hoppe and husband, Joel of Colorado Springs, CO and Sheila Wilson and husband, Orren of Savannah, GA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at Cross Point Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will welcome friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the funeral home. Arrangements were handled by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, North Little Rock, AR.
