William "Roger" Carraway, 55, passed away on Oct. 10, 2013.

Roger was born in San Diego, CA to Preston I. Carraway, Jr. and Pauline Hart.

Preceded in death by his mother Pauline and step-"Mother", Judy Carraway.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Nemie Carraway; daughter, Rozalyn (Michael) O'Toole; grandson, Jameson; father, Preston Carraway Jr.; his siblings, Jimmie (Jerri) Carraway, Preston (Sherry) Carraway III, Linda Underwood and Nancy (Lyle) Meeks; along with many other extended family members and friends.

Roger served in the US Navy for 17 years and continued with a civil service career until retiring in 2008.

In retirement, Roger pursued his passion as a Master Dive instructor and a waterman and conservationist in the Philippines.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Roger's life at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on October 15, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Roger's memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
