Max Obitz, pioneer, passed away at a Mobridge hospital Jan 3 following his last brief illness. Mr. Obitz had been in poor health for the past year, and suffered a heart attack early in the week. His only known survivor is his sister in Seattle, WA.
Mr. Obitz came to TL in the homestead days. He was a plumber by trade and also a general handy man. He never married.
