Jason Erick Beasley was born to Silver Rose Parnell and Rodney Dale Beasley in 1973 when the parents were involved in Scientology. The parents, though divorced early, maintained joint custody of the boy until it was decided that Hollywood was not a good place to raise a child. Jason and his father moved to Las Vegas, where they lived across the street from attentive grandparents and a great-grandmother. Because of this move, Jason came home from school every day and walked into the arms of loving relatives, rather than a babysitter or empty house.

Held in the loving arms of an extended family that eventually included step-mother Bonnie Jeanne Gelisse Beasley, then step-mother Allison Lee Miller Beasley, he grew to manhood, graduated high school, began attending college, and left home. After this, his father married Pauline "Paula" G. Amos, who also became a supportive figure in the young man's life when he would visit his father and Paula at their home.

Jason was fortunate to be the recipient of the love of many people, most especially that of his mother, Silver Rose Parnell, who, though living in another state for much of his later life, had been a constant, loving presence and influence on her son. He came to stay with her regularly over the years and was in continual telephone contact up until the end. It wasn't the ideal situation for Jason's mom, but it was important to everyone that Jason be given every benefit that his father's extended family could offer.

Jason worked in the transportation industry, first as a taxi driver, and then for the Department of Transportation. He was extremely adept with computers and, with his friend Corey, invented a unique cooling system for computers. He married young and fathered a beautiful daughter, Astoria, who was the apple of his eye. He was very proud of her and loved her to the moon and back.

Jason was a gifted artist, a loving, gentle soul, and had a quick wit. His smile was infectious, and his company was always enjoyable. His sense of humor was similar to his father's.

Several chronic illnesses conspired to rob him of his life at the early age of 40. His absence leaves a hole in the lives of many: a hole that cannot be filled.

Jason was cremated in Las Vegas, Nevada. His ashes were shipped to his mother, where she had them interred at Mount Calvary Cemetery near her home, after a lovely memorial mass conducted by the Archbishop of Santa Fe. She frequently visits the crypt where he rests, prays for him, talks to him, and hopes for the day when they will all be united in heaven: Silver, Jason, and Jason's siblings that went before him: Joseph and Violette Marie.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we pray that you draw Jason into your holy family and watch over him, Joseph and Violette Marie until Jason's parents ascend to the father and everyone is reunited in the heavenly kingdom.
