Dale was born to the late Calvin and Mildred Wolfe Kisner. Dale served his country for more than 20 years of service in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Avalon Church of Christ and formerly a member of Colonial Heights Church of Christ where he served as deacon and elder. He was also a member of The Fellowship Hunt Club in Charles City, VA.

Dale is survived by his wife of 61 years Alice. Also his daughters Denise Rupe (Tab), Diane Talley (Jerry), Donna Johnson (Tom), Danelle Peeples (Chuck) and Dina Farley (Butch); sons David (Angie) and Dean. Sister Elinor Anderson, 18 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral is December 14, 2013 at Graham Funeral Home with pastors Jimmy Bennett and Byron Miller.
