Ronald N. Champagne, age 75, of 1445 North 7th Street, Manitowoc died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Ronald was born December 23, 1937 in Wausaukee, son of the late Neary and Frances (DeForest) Champagne. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960. On December 12, 1973 Ronald married the former Janice W. Wakley in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on December 28, 1990. He was employed at Hamilton's for 17 years and Krueger International from 1994 until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by three children: Thomas (Virginia) Champagne, Manitowoc; Leeann Champagne and special friend Tom Rhodes, Two Rivers; Neary Champagne and special friend Tammy Burton, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Brandon Rehme, Manitowoc; Angel Champagne, Manitowoc; Elliot Champagne, Manitowoc; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Donald Champagne, Pound; Gerald (Sue) Champagne, Coleman; two sisters: Jeanette Baeder, West Bend; Shirley Redman, Pound; one sister-in-law: Barbara Rathsack, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Janice; grandson: Dillon Rehme; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Ray (Pat) Champagne; Darrel (Joan) Champagne; Pat Champagne; one sister: Pam Champagne; one brother-in-law: Dale Baeder, other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law also preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc at 11:00 a.m. Deacon Bob Beehner will officiate. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
