Elizabeth Louise (Purcell) Alexander born March 1, 1931 in Park Place, Pennsylvania daughter of Daniel William Purcell and Elizabeth Frye Purcell. (Dad) Ellwood S. White. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband W.C. (Bill) Alexander; son: Elwood Ray Howard; two brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her son, Charles Daniel Howard (Cheryl), daughter: Cathleen Lucille Padgett (Martin), and daughter-in-law Sherrill Howard. Grandchildren: Alex Padgett (Kathryn), Daplene Morris (Brian), Jennifer Rivenbark (Bruce), Beth Padgett, Heather Szymanik (Leonard), Mary Speegle (Robbie) and fifteen great grandchildren, step grandson: Robert Holleman and one step great- grandson, brother: Don Purcell and a sister Marie Mizelle.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday December 14, 2013 at Topsail Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
