On the 1920 & 1940 Census', Sarah's occupation was a switchboard operator for the telephone company in Bloomington, Illinois. So we know this was her occupation for at least 20 years. This is the occupation given on her death certificate.
Sarah never married. At some point after the 1940 Census, Sarah moved to Fort Myers, Florida.
Her death certificate records her death in Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Lee County, Florida. She was 94 years old at the time of her death.
Southeastern Crematory in Naples, Florida was in charge of her disposition.
