Minnie Beal Cragg passed away at the home of her son at Boone, Monday, May 12, at the age of, 74 years and 9 months. She was born Aug. 12, 1866 at Macon, Missouri, to the parents Jerome and Mary Broeffle. She lived in Macon until she was 18 years of age. In 1882, she came to Iowa with her parents. They located on a farm, in Wright county, where they lived a number of years. She was united in marriage to John E. Beal (deceased), on April 2, 1890. To this union three children were born: Herman, deceased; Phillip; and Inez. On January 15, 1927 she was married to Harry Cragg (deceased).

She lived in Eagle Grove for 46 years, and the last three years she spent in the home of her son, Phillip Beal, of Boone.

Mrs. Cragg was a charter member of ladies auxiliary to the B. of L. F. & E. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Rebekah Lodge, and of the Eagle Grove United Methodist church.

She leaves to mourn their loss, two sisters, Mrs. Wiley Eberhardt of Tama, Iowa, and Mrs. Gordan McPherson of Adelstein, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Inez Ross of Peroria, Ill.; one son, Phillip Beal of Boone, Iowa; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral home with the Rev. W. G. Muhleman of Alden in charge. Burial was in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.
