He worked for the Army Corp of Engineers working on the Niagara Power Project for several years, and retired as a millwright from Carborundum in the late 1960s.
Mr. Fessenden was active with the bowling association serving as its president and also enjoyed fishing.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ellen in 1966. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah (John) Sojda of Welland, Ont.; Sharon Alessi of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Patrick Fessenden of Maryland; grandchildren, Brett (Christine) Sojda of Font Hill, Ont.; Jefferey Sojda of Welland, Ont.; Nicole (Ron) John of Niagara Falls, and Rosemarie (David) Johnson of Las Vegas; and several great-grandchildren.
