Obituary for MSgt. Odas "Moon" Mullen
Odas "Moon" Mullen was born on Sept. 28, 1931 to Odas Calvin and Arizona Mullen in Omaha, Neb. He served in the US Air Force for 26 years, retiring as MSgt. He attended Holy Angel University in the Philippines. On Oct. 31, 1981 he married Evangeline Deloria in the Philippines. After retiring he moved to Lubbock. Odas was a lifetime member of the VFW, AMVETS and the DAV. He was an Elvis Presley fan, an avid reader and was enamored by the paranormal.
Along with his parents, Odas was preceded in death by a brother, Othel B. Mullen.
Survivors include his wife, Evangeline; two daughters, Belinda Carmical and husband David of Ft. Worth and Tarita Garrard and husband Mark of Longmont, CO; two sons, Del Rio Mullen and Odas "J.R." Mullen, V. both of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Stephanie Carmical of Cedar Hill and Sarah Carmical of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Wanda Jo Johnson of Delta, CO and Pat Eddins and husband Henry of Lubbock; and a sister in law, Marie Mullen of Ft. Smith, Ark
