Frederick "Fritz" G. Quasius, age 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan. Fritz was born January 12, 1921 in Sheboygan to the late Arthur and Lillian Quasius. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1939.On June 7, 1947, he married the former Sonja Schucht. He served his country in World War II in the Pacific Theater, the Philippines and New Guinea.He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve (Joan) Quasius of Valders, and Scott (Laura) Quasius of Sheboygan; and step-daughters Karen and Pam. He is further survived by a grandson, Tanner Quasius of Sheboygan; step-grandchildren, Bobby Ritt, of Sheboygan, Adam Sohlden of Manitowoc, and Alexis Sohlden of Yosemite, CA. Also surviving are his brothers, Arthur Quasius Jr. of Sheboygan, Allen (Betty Jo) Quasius of New Jersey; a sister, Marion Balck of Appleton; and a sister-in-law, Carol Quasius. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Fritz was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sonja; two sons, Larry and Randy Quasius; brothers, Willard and Donald Quasius; and a sister, Ruth Quasius. He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Charlotte Quasius; a brother-in-law, Donald Balck; and former wife, Christine.Fritz was employed as a carpenter and construction supervisor for many years with the company founded by his family, Quasius Construction of Sheboygan. He was a very dedicated member of the community and a very loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ and a member of VFW Post 9156 of Sheboygan for many years.
