He attended school in Boston, MA and came to Portland, ME at the age of 14.
For some time he was employed by the Grand Trunk Railroad. He later worked for the Chase Transfer Co as a foreman and checker with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by seven daughters Mrs William Calvert; Mrs John C Mallett; Mrs Richard Neilsen; Mrs Richard Maloney; Mrs Edward Delorme; Mrs James Smithson and Mrs George Damon Jr all of Portland, ME; two sons Albert C Jr of Milton, VT; and Robert E of Portland, ME.
