5 Feb 1879, "The Times," Philadelphia, PA Obit: "William Rodney, the youngest son of Daniel Rodney, died in Washington on Sunday evening. Daniel Rodney was a member of the National House of Representatives from Delaware in 1822-3, United States Senator in 1826-7 and Governor of Delaware from 1814-1817. He died September 2, 1846, aged 72 years. William was born October 8, 1805. His funeral will take place in Washington this afternoon."
