Born December 7, 1928 in New Millport, PA she was the daughter of Byron and Ethel (Swatsworth) Sloppy.
She was a homemaker and was a self employed cleaning person in the Clearfield area for many years. She was Presbyterian by faith.
She is survived by eight children, Charles Sloppy and his wife Morgan, of Clearfield, PA, James Bloom and his companion Judith of New Millport, Richard Bloom of Curwensville, Jean Bishop of Clearfield, William Bloom of Curwensville, Joan Hensley and her husband John of Clearfield, Judy Bloom , of Clearfield and Rodger Bloom and his wife Sandy of Boardman, PA, twenty five grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers Virginia "Tim" Barrett of Kermor, PA, Bryon "Gerry" Sloppy, Jr. and his wife Elaine, of New Millport, Olive "Ollie" Haney of Curwensville, Mervil Sloppy and his wife Nancy of Clearfield and Shirley Cowfer and her husband Fred of New Millport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Ronald Duane, a daughter Mary Jane, a son in law Daniel Bishop and three granddaughters Gwen Galmish, Penny May Bloom and Crystal Bloom and a sister Esther Sloppy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Dr. Duane White officiating. Interment will be in Fruit Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of services.
