Mrs. Betty Louise Zobrist Stuart, 69, of Charleston, died Feb. 10, 1987, in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.
She was historian for the Kanawha Players, a communications secretary retired from West Virginia Education Association and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She worked in the Blood Donor Service of the American Red Cross during World War II and was among the organizers of Kanawha Hospice Care.
She received an associate in arts degree in 1985 from the University of Charleston, and was among the college's oldest graduates.
She also attended several Elderhostels, college for senior citizens, in Charleston and in Washington state. She was born in Weston.
Surviving: son, Charles F. Jr. of Richardson, Texas; daughter, Julie S. Smith of Kirkland, Wash.; foster daughter, Cricket Martin of Belle; sister, Jean G. Zobrist of Charleston; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.
Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, followed by service at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church chapel with the Rev. Thornton W. Tucker and the Rev. Jeff London officiating.
