Gerry H. Burdick, 91, of Batesville, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at White River Medical Center. She was born on February 8, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to John R. and Lelamance (Buster) Hess. She loved being with her family and friends. Gerry also enjoyed going to flea markets, watching birds and flowers. She attended Draughn School of Business in Kansas City, MO and was a retired secretary. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Tom Burdick and his wife, Lynette of Little Rock; her daughter, Mary Beth Frensley and her husband, Leslie of Batesville; four grandchildren, Kristen (Randy) Cross, Sara (Justin) Rogers, Lori Posey, Kimberly Burdick; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marshal A. Burdick; a grandson, Matthew Burdick; and three siblings.

Pallbearers will be David Frensley, Randy Cross, Justin Rogers, Donald Cross, Dan Foley, and Leslie Frensley.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. J. R. Baker, Dr. Jordan Weaver, Friendship Sunday School Class, and all of her great-grandchildren.

Many thanks and gratitude from the family to all of her care givers and staff at Wood Lawn Heritage Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Larry Poff officiating.

Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Little Rock after the services.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
