Michael Draves, 81, died early this morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. William Hines, 1014 Ashman, after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Germany, Sept. 24, 1862. Although he had lived the past year with his daughter, he had lived on his farm in Larkin Twp. for 42 years. Funeral services was held at St. John's Lutheran with burial in Midland Cemetery.
At the time of his death he was survived by five daughters, Mrs Otto Bensch, Mrs Herman Siebert, Mrs. William Hines, and Mrs Edward Schneider all of Midland, and Mrs Henry Schoen of Detroit; two sons, George of Imlay City, and Adam of Midland. He also had a brother William Draves still in Cumberland, Md., 28 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
