Frances Elizabeth Anders, 76, of Wickenburg, died Dec. 23 in Wickenburg Community Hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1910 in Norrie, Wis.

She is survived by two sons, Emery Arthur Metzke, of Chloride and Harold Pa. Metzke, of Surprise; one daughter, Margaret Willis, of Peoria; five brothers, Gordon Pehlke, of Tucson, Arnold Pehlke, of California and Gilbert Pehlke, Leonard Pehlke and Arlie Pehlke, all of Wisconsin; one sister, Laura Lee, of Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews.

Anders was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary and Elk's Ladies Club. She was a resident of Arizona over 50 years, six years in Williams prior to moving to Wickenburg in 1941.

She will be remembered by many as the friendly lad who sold poppies in front of the downtown Wickenburg Post Office.

Memorial services were Dec. 26 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Father Thomas Boyle officiated.

Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
