Schlobohm Services
Services for Hartwig W. (Hodge) Schlobohm, 58, Portage, who suffered a fatal heart attack Thursday, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bartholomew Funeral home. He was stricken while working at the county highway garage south of here.
Born Sept. 9, 1904, in Wheeler, he was the son of William and Minnie (Eggers) Schlobohm. He married Ruth Andrews on March 11, 1933, in Porter. He had worked for the county highway department 10 years.
Surviving are his widow, three brothers, Fred of New York, Theodore of Valparaiso, and Carl of Portage; and two sisters, Mrs. Urbin (Rose) Briggs and Mrs. Ralph (Ann) Dixon of Valparaiso.
His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
A lifelong resident of this county, he was a member of McCool Methodist church.
The Rev. Victor Ramsey will officiate and burial will be in Robbins cemetery, at Portage.
