Arizona Nell "Pottsie" Potts Cox, 84, of Bluff City, TN, who was born to the late Charles Edgar and Mary Kate Potts on May 2, 1929, left this world to be with the Lord and her loved ones Friday, December 20, 2013, with her children by her side.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herbert G. Cox, brothers, James Potts, Kent Potts, Clyde Potts and Charles "Bud" Potts and sisters, Martha Arnold and Ann Sharrett.
She was a graduate of Holston Valley High School and was a lifelong servant of the Lord. She served many years working in the nursery, Vacation Bible School, WMU and singing in the choir. In her active days she enjoyed visiting with those that were shut-in. Her children could not have asked for a more perfect example of a Christian Mother.
Survivors include her children, David Cox and wife Sonja, Kathy Owens and husband Dennis, Doug Cox and wife Vicki, Martha Blevins and husband Garry, Laura Hubble and husband Ronnie, Roger Cox and wife Sheila, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Niles Kitzmiller and Reverend Jimmy Potts officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 prior to the service.
Interment will be at Crumley Cemetery on Monday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m., Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
