He was born in Big Pool, the son of Worthington J. and Isurnia A. McAllister Mason.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and was a retired employee of the Hagerstown Goodyear Service Store.
He was a member of the Hagerstown BPO Elks, Hagerstown Loyal Order of Moose, Hagerstown Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Williamsport Red Men.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Anna L. Speck, Clear Spring; Mrs. Nona Rhodes, Big Pool; Mrs. Ruth E. Lantz and Mrs. Mary I. Wilson both of Hagerstown.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at the Norment Funeral Home, the Rev. Martin L. Rothenberger officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
