Funeral services for Fred I. Kurtz, 89, 5108 Kilgore, who died Thursday at Ball Memorial Hospital, will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Parson Mortuary with Stanley Peterson, pastor of Holy Trinity Church, officiating.
A native of Perkinsville, Mr. Kurtz had been a Muncie resident most of his life, where he had been employed at Ball Corp. for 42 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles McMullin, Miss Eunice Kurtz, and Mrs. George Vandevender, all of Muncie; two sons, Arthur (Hoot) Kurtz, Muncie, and Charles Kurtz, Yorktown; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and prior to services Monday.
