My father, Richard A. Crawford's Obituary:

Richard A. Crawford born on December 1, 1942 in Cullman, AL was surrounded by loved ones when he quietly passed away on December 20, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard W. Crawford, Virginia Nunnelley Crawford and his sister Linda McQueeney. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine, three children, Tammie (Andy) Parezo of Alexandria, VA, Michael (Michelle) Crawford and Tricia (Roy) Moore both of Virginia Beach and five grandchildren, Tim Fridel, Susan and Michael Crawford, Jessica Parezo and Zachary Moore and his sister Carol Romer of Frederick, Maryland.

He retired from the Navy in 1983 after 23 years of service. He was extremely proud of his service on the battleship New Jersey. After his retirement from the Navy he worked at Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic until last year when he retired.

Funeral services will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
