Mrs. Ella Tolman Dibble, 57, well known Bountiful Layton woman, died at the Dee hostpital in Ogden, Saturday, following an operation for appendicitis.
Mrs. Dibble was born in Bountiful April 7, 1877, a daughter of the late Judson and Jan Stoker Tolman, Davis county pioneers. She is a sister of D R Tolman, principal of the Stoker school and she herself was a successful teacher in the schools of the county for many years.
She was an active worker in the Primary and Relief society of the West Layton ward up to the time of her death.
Surviving are the husband George E. Dibble and five sons and daughters: Charles E, George R, Benjamin and Jare Dibble, all of Layton, and Philo Dibble, now on a mission in Germany; eight brothers and sisters: Mrs. Samuel Thurgood of Syracuse, D.R. Tolman of Bountiful, Mrs. Brigham C Hartley of Clinton; Mrs. John Robison of Ogden, Mrs. A.B. Paterson, John H, Mary and Justing Tolman, Salt Lake.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Kaysville tabernacle.
