Karen Kugelman reminded her son Mathew to take his coat Saturday night as he headed out for an evening with his friends Mark Neukirch and Matthew Dombrow.
A little more than an hour later, a car traveling west on Interstate Highway 90 near Elgin crossed the grassy median and collided head-on with the car carrying the three friends, police said.

A little more than an hour later, a car traveling west on Interstate Highway 90 near Elgin crossed the grassy median and collided head-on with the car carrying the three friends, police said.
