Kathleen "Kathy" Cooper Adams, 53 year old Riverside resident, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, surrounded by her family at the home of her sister in Idaho Falls following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born December 30, 1959 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Earl Watts And Elizabeth Peabody Cooper. Kathy attended school in Moreland and Snake River High School. She attended Eastern Idaho Technical College and earned her LPN degree. She has resided in the Blackfoot area most of her life, living for a short time in Arco and Las Vegas, Nevada.
On February 17, 2005, Kathy married Tim Adams in Riverside, Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Kathy had worked for Red Cross and Home Health. She also worked at State Hospital, Bingham Memorial Extednded Care Facility and Parkwood Meadows.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, four wheeling with her husband, gardening and loved animals. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family and grand kids.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Adams of Riverside; son, Chris (Cynthia) Watson of Boise, ID., daughter, Kimberly (Dale) Brown of Blackfoot; siblings, Linda (Jay) Packer of Idaho Falls, Bill (Judy) Cooper of Nampa, ID, Gloria (Carroll) Perkes of Idaho Falls, Debbie Cooper of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin (Carrie)Cooper of Twin Falls, ID; six grandchildren and one great grand daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Riverside LDS Church with Bishop Brett Williams of the Riverside 2nd Ward officiating. The family will meet with friends on Thursday evening at the Hawker Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday at the church for an hour prior to services.
