KENEFICK — Betty June Smith, 70, of Kenefick died Tuesday at Humana Hospital-Baytown. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Friday at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Burial will follow under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home of Dayton.
Mrs. Smith was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. She and her husband were residents of the Galveston- Hitchcock area before she moved to Kenefick 14 years ago.
Survivors include her son, Robert Blackwell of Tampa; daughter, Claudia Cannaday of Dayton; brothers, John E. Pope of Verona, Mo., and Roy M. Pope of Palestine; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
