He met and married Ramona (Mona) Matheson, and had 4 children, Irene, Norene, Steven, and Sandy.
Benjamin was a fire fighter at the No. 2 and then No. 5 fire stations in Calgary. He was known as Bennie to his fellow fire fighters.
He loved to spend time at his cabin in Sylvan Lake. He had a special wall - anyone who visited was given a wooden medallion to put their name on, and it was placed on the wall. He had so many friends - the wall was covered!
Benjamin was a wonderful father. Every Christmas there was always a hand made gift - once a shuffle board that he made.
Benjamin retired and moved to Sylvan Lake. He loved to golf, fish and work with his hands.
Benjamin passed away in Feb. 2011.
