SUSAN C. BECK, 87 ROCKFORD - Susan C. Beck, 87, loving wife, mother, grandmother and Gi Gi, of Rockford passed away peace-fully at 5:08 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in her home, after a long illness. Born in Rockford on Nov. 2, 1921, the daughter of Walter and Karoline Grondzki. Susan lived her entire life in Rockford. Married Theodore J. Beck in Rockford on Sept. 10, 1949. She was employed as an assembler by Rockford Clutch for 14 years. Susan was a member of St. Stanislaus, Young Lady Sodality, Woman's Rosary Sodality, she directed and participated in amature theatre. Sue loved to cook, she was famous for her special dishes and desserts. She also cherished her large collection of dolls. Her family and friends will miss her stories and laughter. She attended Muldoon and St. Stanislaus schools.
Survivors include husband, Theodore; two sons and two daughter-in-laws & their family's. One brother & three Special Neices.
Predeceased by sisters, Ann Nelson, Mary Wis-niewski and Sophie Celner and grandson, Adam Beck. The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice and Joyce Oakes for the loving care they took of Susan. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, in St. Stanislaus Church, with Father Peter Sarnicki officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
