Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, at Brockhaus-Scott Funeral Home, Bloomfield. The Rev. Phillip Hannemann officiated. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery,
Bloomfield, Nebraska.
Heinrich Fritz Begier was born September 29, 1902, in Albertsdorf, Fehmarn, Germany, the son of Nicolaus and Agnes (Suckstorf) Begier. He came to the United States with his parents to Thurston County, Nebraska. The family later moved to a farm near Crofton. He married Bertina Sophia Norman on March 5, 1930, in Yankton, South Dakota. They farmed near Pleasant Valley, until they retired. Bertina died December 9, 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Roland (Donna) Begier of Tucumcari, NM, and Rodney (Matalyn) Begier of Miltona, MN; three grandchildren, Kim, Randy and Christine; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.

His parents were Nicolaus Gerhard Karl and Agnes Margaretha (Suchsdorf) Begier. With his parents, they sailed on the ship "S.S. Deutschland" arriving in New York on September 8, 1903 and settled on a farm in Thurston County, Nebraska.
He used the name Henry during his lifetime.
