CURTIS, ELIZABETH Dr. Elizabeth Ann Curtis, age 34, of Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at a Grand Rapids hospital.

Dr. Curtis was born on August 14, 1979, in Grand Haven Michael Irish

Dr. Curtis was a 1997 graduate of Grand Haven High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at Michigan State University and her Doctorate in Dental Science at the University of Michigan.

Elizabeth was joined in union to her surviving spouse on November 17, 2007, in Grand Haven.

Dr. Curtis was passionate about her dental practice with her surviving colleges.

Dr. Curtis loved her family, her community and her profession. She was an active community volunteer and secretary of the Grand Haven Area Rotary, a member of Grand Haven Chamber Commerce and treasurer of the Muskegon Dental Society.

Dr. Curtis enjoyed building furniture for her home, great conversation with her friends and family, and adventures with her children. Elizabeth had a caring heart and enjoyed volunteering for Miles of Smiles.

Dr. Curtis is survived in passing by her loving husband; her son; and newborn daughter. She is also survived by her mother & spouse; three brothers one & spouse of Nashville, TN,; one & spouse of Ada, MI; & one & spouse of Belding, MI; mother-in-law, of Spring Lake; father-in-law; grandmother; two sisters-in-law, one of Los Angeles, CA,; & one of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law & spouse of Spring Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Curtis was preceded in death by her father, Michael Irish.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Grand Haven with Rev. Dr. Thomas Cook officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM on Friday, December 27, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.

Memorials in memory of Dr. Curtis may be given to the Elizabeth Curtis Dental Fund for Children In Need at the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
