Amos Tryon married Sarah/Sally Barton. Owned Tryon's store in 1838. The structure later was used as a Court House, and Jail as well as a Town Hall. Facade additions made later as it became a restaurant.
The restaurnt is still in use today. In Lewiston New York.

He also built "Tryon's Folly" back in the 1830's. Today it can also be called the home with the 7 cellars. The home was used in the Underground Rail Road. Today it's privately owned.
