Chalmer V. King, whose big ambition was to run in the Indianapolis 500, lost control of his sprint car and crashed through a wall.
The accident in which caused his fatal injuries occurred as the youthful driver was running in third place on the half mile track.
The "King Special", swerved from one side of the track to the other then headed for the retaining wall, crashed through it and flipped.
