Kirby Stanley Jensen, our wonderful husband, father,grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away February 20, 1993 after a lingering illness.

Born December 10, 1916 to Mercy Maud Cook and Franklin Julius Daniel Jensen in Salt Lake City. He loved all types of sports and excelled in track, football and basketball during his school years. He loved the beauty of nature and enjoyed fishing by his cabin. He was a veteran of World War II and served most of his time in the occupation of Korea.He was a beloved husband and companion to his wife of 56 years, Rhea Satterthwaite Jensen and a devoted father to his two special and wonderful daughters, Mrs. Merrill (Janet) Briggs and Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Speirs. His five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren were dear to him.

He was active in the LDS Church and held many positions, including the first bishop of Madison Ward.

Funeral services will be held noon on Friday, February 26, 1993 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 So Highland Drive, where friends may call from 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
