Marvin D. Musial, age 88, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc died early Saturday morning, December 28 , 2013 at Shady Lane.

He was born on August 5, 1925 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Antionette (Beatke) Musial. Marvin was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. Marvin served with the United States Army during WWII from October 1943 to April 1946 all state side. He then attended the Fond du Lac Business School and earned his Associates Degree in Business Administration. On September 2, 1950 he married Betty Lou Bruechert at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Marvin was employed by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway System as an office clerk until his retirement in 1981.

Survivors include his wife; Betty Lou, Manitowoc, his children and spouses; David and Donna Musial, Two Rivers, Diana and Thomas Hartman, Manitowoc, Charles and Barbara Musial, Hoover, Alabama, Cindy Musial, Howards Grove, Nancy Musial, Manitowoc and Todd and Tina Musial, Two Rivers. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren; Amy (Jeff) Brunmeier, Kim (Chad) Kellner, Scott (Erin) Hartman, Christopher Hartman, Nicole (Paul) Masse, Bradley "Bubba" Musial, Drew (Courtney) Olson, Emily (Ryan) Nowak, Andra Fechner, Josiah Musial, Talia Musial and Grace Musial. He is further survived by his ten great grandchildren; Jason Brunmeier, Lindsey Brunmeier, Emma Brunmeier, Morgan Brunmeier, Olivia Kellner, Chase Kellner, Addie Hartman, Matthew Masse, Claire Olson and Nadia Nowak, one sister; Agnes Dahm, Manitowoc and a special cousin; Norman Johnson, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive.

He was also preceded in death by one infant twin son, Jeffrey Musial, two sisters; Leona Paoli and Veronica Marienthal.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday December 31, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Marvin was a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a wonderful sense of humor, loved music and dancing, playing cards, dartball, fishing and especially spending time with his family.

As Marvin dances up the stairway to heaven, in his own words he will be saying, "Hallelujah baby, I'm no bum."
