Comedian. After service during World War II as a Gunner in the Royal Navy, he had a successful comedy career that centered around chicken impressions and stilted microphone routine. Best known for his role on the British television variety show "Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club", he also appeared in the series "The Comedians" as well as several Royal Variety Command Performances. He died after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
