Joseph E. Slaughter, Retired Employe of Wabash, Dies at 69
Joseph E. Slaughter, 69, retired employe of the Wabash water service department, died at 5:35 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, 417 Harrison avenue. He had been ill
12 years. Born in Renick, son of Henry and Annie Asbarry Slaughter, he lived in Moberly most of his life. He was a member of First Christian Church in Renick and of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Mr. Slaughter is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Cottingham, Renick; a son Lowell Slaughter, Kansas City; and three sisters, Mrs. Omie Winn, Higbee, Mrs. Susan Harris, Moberly, and Mrs. Net Douglas, Detroit.
The body is in the Mehan Funeral Home and services will
be held in its chapel at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Earl W. Lewis of Moberly, minister of the Higbee Church of Christ. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
